There aren’t many things that are over one hundred years old and are still as popular as when they were first released, but Chuck Taylor’s Converse really are. Back in the day when they were first released, they were worn by all the basketball teams you can imagine and today they’re worn by everyone, everywhere – even the rich and famous.
Known as a basketball shoe, it was the choice of many pro sportsmen and high school kids alike. However, in those days, there wasn’t the choice that there is today. They were available in one style and two colors  the classic high-top in black or white.
Although it’s unlikely that you’ll see an advert for them at all nowadays – mainly because they don’t need any advertising after 100 years on the streets – one advertisement once described the shoe as ‘limousines for the feet’.
You probably wouldn’t think that Converse originally specialized in work shoe, because since the famous Akron Firestones player Chuck Taylor left his mark on the high tops that’s all they’ve been recognized for.
Taylor had so much dedication to the brand that he spent many years of his life driving from city to city and state to state with a boot full of the Converse High Tops; this along with the change of design in 1932 changed the way that the shoes were to be seen forever.
The low top shoes were introduced in 1962. In 2003 though, Converse was bought by Nike but they vowed to keep the same old style that everyone loved because Converse was a brand that couldn’t be left behind.
So despite the amazing history and development of the brand, Converse are actually a ‘sports shoe’ that isn’t suitable for sports – or any other activity – at all, so why are they still so popular? For a shoe that doesn’t seem to have a lot of prospects it sure has stood the test of time. Although nowadays it’s not seen as a suitable sports shoe, it is still popular with millions. Converse are now seen as a casual everyday shoe, they’re comfortable and funky so what more could you ask for? They’re sported throughout the streets of the world by celebs, movie stars, models, musicians, TV stars and everyone in between and it is the variety of colors and styles, along with the classic design seem to be the successful features of this long lasting brand.

I also got a pair of Airwalk snowboard slippers I like them they are very comfortable and have a good sole on them. I was never one for slipper until a few years ago, they really keep your feet warm.

For Christmas I got a pair of Vans slipper shoes like the picture. Today I wore them outside mostly because that is what I wanted them for is an easy shoe to slip on and off to let my dog outside. As you might know we have snow where I live right now and they held up very good for me in the snow. 

They are also very warm and have a good sole to them, the only thing I don’t like with them is that they don’t have a thick heel to them.

I would love to show off nice Nike shoes but they don’t seem to fit with the walking style I have. I have Cerebral Palsy and that kills every shoe I wear. These shoes will come out spring of 2013.

I like this shoes from Adidas the Porsche Design. The bad thing is that Adidas shoes don’t last with my disability  I would give these nice Adidas shoes two weeks if I were to go out and buy theses shoes.
